tips.2=You can add text styling to your citations\! In the Citation Editing dialogue, highlight the text you wish to style, right-click, and choose either Italics, Bold or Underline styles. HTML tags are used to produce the styling.
tips.3=By default, TextCite shows all Citations in a selected category, along with those in its subcategories. This can be confusing; to distinguish between Citations in the current category and those in subcategories, change the "Show citations in subcategories" preference value, or change the setting in the View menu.
tips.4=TextCite is designed to work hand-in-hand with bibliography management programs like RefWorks, BibTeX and EndNote. The key to making this cooperation work is making sure that the publication record in TextCite is updated with the correct bibliographic record ID from your bibliography manager.
tips.5=You can adjust the font used to display citations in the preview window, by adjusting the settings on the Font pane of the Preference dialog.
tips.6=The key to searching and finding citations in TextCite is categorization. Be sure to add appropriate categories to each citation from the "Virtual Notecard" view. You can add as many categories as you want to a citation; it's better to be generous than stingy.
tips.7=To export the contents of a citation, or its translation or commentary, to a word processing program, right-click the citation in the table, and choose "Copy Text" (or Translation, etc.). The text, translation or commentary will be copied along with a formatted bibliographic reference.
tips.8=You can have TextCite automatically load a CiteBook on startup. Specify the CiteBook you wish to have loaded in the File/Network preferences tab.
